About

I'm Kristine Sanchez Henson (she/her), an Experience Design Lead based out of New York City.

I lead US and international teams of 5-10+ designers on a range of digital experiences for Fortune 500 companies, including consumer brands, financial services, telecommunications, healthcare, manufacturing, and energy. My ethos is creating inclusive, accessible solutions through robust design systems.

I champion collaborative design teams and value cross-functional partnerships with development and product teams. When starting projects, I actively look for the most efficient way we all can collaborate together.

I advocate for healthy, safe spaces where design teams can share work in progress and learn from each other. One of my proudest achievements is founding a work weekly New York design team meetup for building culture, inspiration, fellowship, and work feedback sessions.

I also believe in the power of developing strong public speaking skills and confidence when presenting to stakeholders. This passion for storytelling extends to my active community involvement as the 2025 Area 53 Director for Toastmasters International District 46 in New York City, where I mentor five public speaking clubs. My love for community also extends into planning outreach initiatives with the Alumni Leadership Council for my alma mater, the Massachusetts College of Art and Design.

I am a native of Newport, Rhode Island, and currently live in the vibrant city of Jersey City, New Jersey. When not immersed in design, I find creative inspiration through playing my oboe, discovering street art murals, and traveling. I'm also a devoted mama to my 2-year-old son, Kylian, partner to Chris, and dog guardian to our 5-year-old rescue, Limoncello.
