About the Project
A Fortune 500 telecom company sought to launch a new "Business Mobile" product line, requiring a unified user experience across its native app, self-service portal, and online acquisition channels. This involved coordinating three geographically dispersed design teams (US, India, Italy) with diverse design backgrounds, and aligning with our Philadelphia-based stakeholders. Our project's key challenges included maintaining design consistency across platforms and managing effective communication and collaboration across time zones. As Business Mobile's Experience Design Director, I facilitated clear communication channels and workflows, including dedicated Teams channels and regular design sharing sessions. To address consistency, we created a shared design system in Miro, ensuring all teams worked from the same UI components and interaction patterns. We used recorded videos and asynchronous feedback loops to overcome time zone barriers. I also provided individual mentorship to designers, fostering their growth and development.
